Throwing and Folding of Parachutes |
|
|
At our Flight-park we have a crane from which we can simulate the emergency opening of your parachute by hoisting the pilot (in his harness) to the height of 8 metres. According to our statistics, 10% of parachutes do not open (poorly installed, worn or stiff Velcro etc.) and 20% of the time, the pilot has difficulties extracting his parachute. The loss of a few valuable seconds can make all the difference between life and death... Later the parachute is ventilated for at least 12 hours in our workshop and then folded by professionals trained in Switzerland. We have folded more than 200 parachutes, of which several have been used in real emergencies, all opening perfectly.
